Academic Calendar

Academic calendar

The academic year begins on October 1st and ends on September 30th of the following year. It is divided into two semesters: the first starts in October, the second in March. Generally, classes for the first semester occur from October to January, and those for the second semester from March to June.

Examinations are held in specific sessions, typically scheduled according to the principle that lectures and exams should not overlap.

Each course offers three or four standard exam sessions, one at the end of the teaching period and one during the so-called "teaching-free" period in September. Each session includes a variable number of exam dates. The exam date refers to the day the exam is held. For each session, courses must offer at least two exam dates, with at least two weeks between them.
